Fingya (Fingolimod) may harm an unborn baby, and therefore, it is contraindicated during pregnancy and in women of childbearing potential not using effective contraception.
Before starting Fingya, a pregnancy test should be ordered, and women should use effective birth control while taking Fingya and for at least two months after the last dose.
If a woman becomes pregnant during treatment, Fingya must be discontinued, and medical advice should be given regarding the risk of harmful effects to the fetus associated with Fingya.
